Godse Movie Review: Ideas lack Execution

Godse Movie Review: 1.5/5
Godse is the new movie from Satyadev who is looking to entertain audience in his capacity with concept oriented new age films. He came up with this film after a good collaboration with Gopi Ganesh Pattabhi for Bluffmaster. Let’s discuss how is this movie.
Plot:
UK Businessman Vishwanath Ramachandra (Satya Dev) becomes agitated with the politicians and transforms into Godse. He demands justice for him by exposing each and every politician. What happened to him? What happens to his mission? Watch the movie to know more …
Analysis:
Satya Dev is one of the most promising young actors in Telugu Cinema. But he needs better scripts. After Bluffmaster which is a remake, Gopi Ganesh Pattabhi made this film by taking the idea from Korean, The Negotiaton film. With Amateurish writing, director killed his own concept and the drag in the second half in telling a predictable flashback tests your patience.
Aishwarya Lekshmi, Tanikella Bharani, Sijju, Ashok Kumar doesn’t get scenes that fulfill their potential. Noel Sean got huge portion and he did well. The entire film feels like it has been rushed out and more portions cut out. Writing doesn’t support the film concept at all. Cinematography, production values and editing are bad. Music is loud and doesn’t support the proceedings. On the whole, movie should have been made much much better with competent technicians.
Positives:
- Satya Dev’s Performancecast
- Concept
Negatives:
- Amateurish Writing
- Lag in second half
- Incoherent Script
- Predictable Screenplay
Bottom-line: Ideas lack Execution
