Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is making his debut in Bollywood in a brief yet impactful role in Aamir Khan’s upcoming film Lal Singh Chaddha, an adaption of the Hollywood film Forest Gump starring Tom Hanks. The posters and trailers revealed that Chaitu is going to be seen as a confidant to Aamir Khan while serving in the Indian Army.
Now, there is a buzz in industry circles that there is a surprise in store with Chaitu’s role. It is reportedly heard that the Majili and Love Story actor will be seen in dual roles in the film. Sources revealed that the makers have kept the second role of Chaitu under the wraps as a suspense element for the audiences.
It is learnt that Chaitu will be seen as a grandfather and a grandson in this emotional drama. He will be playing Balaraju in both roles and the grandfather get-up is likely to spring a surprise onto Akkineni fans. While the grandson plays an army officer, the grandfather is a villager.
Aamir Khan is mighty impressed with Chaitu’s performance in these two contrasting roles in the film. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor in a significant role. It is slated for release on August 11th.
