Babli Bouncer Movie Review Rating : 2/5

Babli Bouncer film is now streaming on Disney plus Hotstar.

If you are expecting a Madhur Bhandarkar film then this is not your place. After watching films like Page 3 and Fashion, we don’t expect a film like Babli Bouncer by a director like Madhur Bhandarkar. To say, Babli Bouncer is the other side Madhur. We see a bundle of stereotype films and Babli Bouncer is one of its kind. Let us take a look at the complete review.

Babli Tanwar (Tamannaah Bhatia), is a girl from Asola-Fatehpur Beri, a twin village in Delhi. The village is famous for bouncers (pehelwans) who travel to Delhi nightclubs as bouncers. Babli falls in love with a boy (Viraj), who is from Delhi at a village function. Viraj is Babli’s tenth-standard teacher’s son. Babli struggles to complete high school and finally ends up as a 10th failed. To prioritise life with Viraj, Babli shifts to Delhi by joining as a bouncer in one of the nightclubs with her finance Kukku. Now, the story is about how Babli’s love story will turn and how the village girl will sustain herself after Viraj rejects her love bluntly.

Actress Ananya Pandey gets distressed with Telugu Film makers

Babli Bouncer is about a village girl who dreams about having a perfect husband and the transformation of that village girl into an independent strong woman. The strong story slot failed miserably with flat story narration and cheap comedy. The film is a forceful watch. The moral of the story is nowhere noticeable still you want to pick up some good factors.

The writing in the initial stages of the film is shaky and slowly with the added emotions, the movie turns twisted. The first 30mins of the film is a senseless watch. Tamannaah Bhatia had done her best part with performance in a de-glamorous role. She fits in her role as a bouncer. Rather than Tamannaah Bhatia’s performance and Madhur’s emotions cringe, nothing is left out to talk about the film.

  • Only Tamannaah Bhatia

  • First 30mins
  • Cringy humour

Babli bouncer films lack a proper presentation. This is not the film which will be acceptable in 2022 and is more likely in the 2000s. Saving a person from a sudden heart attack and the same person helping Babli financially (Building more lady bouncers clan) and the boy falling back to a girl, who saved his life. Everything seems dramatic and the film is for this advanced audience (Post covid audience, who are expertise by watching many films on OTT). one word – Not a worth-watching film.

Babli Bouncer Movie Review Rating : 2/5

Bottom-line: : Not a Madhur Bhandarkar film
