‘NBK vs PK’ Unstoppable Promo: A Repetitive Trope

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s talk show ‘Unstoppable’ gained huge traction and emerged as a super hit on the Aha platform. One of the biggest reasons for such a massive reception of this show is because it is made a star-studded affair with big-ticket actors and politicians taking part in it quite often. Balakrishna’s inimitable hosting skills are another surprising factor that drew the attention of everyone.
The previous episode saw Darling Prabhas as the chief guest. This episode received a lot of hype and hysteria among everyone as Prabhas became a household name after Baahubali. But, when the full episode was out, it turned out to be a drab and uninteresting one because it involved tedious conversations between Prabhas and Balakrishna. All the questions aimed at Prabhas are predictable and lacked any excitement as most of them are about his marriage and personal character but nothing else.
Now, the promo of the much-awaited Pawan Kalyan’s episode is out and it appears to be another run-of-the-mill concept that is just aimed to build some excitement with the initial rushes and later fizzles out due to lack of originality. As expected, Balakrishna posed some routine questions and Pawan Kalyan tried to answer in his very style. The promo tries to evoke a sense of suspense as everyone will hanker for Pawan Kalyan’s answers. But, it seems like the writing is so bland and quite repetitive. Pawan’s popularity among his fans and the current political landscape in Andhra Pradesh might trigger a lot of hype for this episode, but there seems to be not much depth and novelty in it.
