Thalapathy Vijay is fully disappointed with the latest developments regarding his upcoming film Varisu ( Varasudu). The bilingual film is slated for release during the Sankranti festival. The makers initially announced January 12th as the release date. Suddenly, they moved the date to the 11th without giving any prior information to the exhibitors and distributors. There is still no clarity on when will the Telugu version gets released. There are rumours that Varusudu might release a day or two after Varisu due to the pending re-recording work. This will adversely affect the openings.
Vijay is reportedly furious about Dil Raju’s poor planning. He is exasperated with the way things are messed up at the last minute. Sources revealed that he called Dil Raju and asked him to make sure that the film gets a wide release in all territories. In USA, there is no proper planning due to which the premiere shows are likely to be impacted.
Vijay is also not pleased with the trailer cut. He is not happy with director Vamshi’s work as the trailer gave an impression that Varisu is a mocktail of different Telugu films. He expected a better cut. Vijay seems to be deeply hurt by the way Dil Raju and Vamshi Paidipally handled the project so far.
