Varisu Trailer: Vijay’s One Man Show

The much-awaited theatrical trailer of Thalapathy Vijay’s bilingual film Varisu ( Varasudu in Telugu) is out this Wednesday and it hints that the Vamshi Paidipally directional is going to be a family entertainer laced with a good dose of action and emotional content.

The two-and-a-half-minute trailer is packed with family emotions, drama, action scenes and Colourful songs. To put it in simple terms, the trailer is Vijay’s one-man show. He dominates every scene from the onset with his trademark mannerisms. He is a happy-go-lucky lad who is the youngest of three brothers in a big and well-to-do family. Due to some reasons, Vijay’s father gives him a cold shoulder while introducing his family. But, he is the saviour for his family’s business empire and comes to its rescue when there is a serious problem.

The trailer opens with the introduction of Vijay’s family. Srikanth and Kick Shyam are his brothers. Vijay then makes a rollicking entry and showcases his vintage dance moves. He takes charge of the affairs in his family business when his father’s opponent Prakash Raj uses devious stratagems to bring them down. Vijay is also tasked with the responsibility of bringing his severed family together. Rashmika Mandanna is confined just to a couple of scenes.

Director Vamshi Paidipally chose a script that balances both family emotions and commercial values. The trailer is a blend of both of these elements. It is packed with all ingredients that will strike a chord with both family and mass audiences. SS Thaman did his part by scoring foot-tapping mass songs and also his signature BGM in action episodes. The cinematography is another positive factor for the trailer.
