No big cheer for Rashmika with Varisu

Rashmika Mandanna made headlines a couple of times in recent times. But, not with her performance or glamour. She was embroiled in a couple of controversies due to her loose tongue. On film front, she didn’t have a promising 2022 because none of her films emerged as a decent hit at the box office. She is even struggling to bag big-ticket offers due to stiff competition from her peers.
The Pushpa actress pinned a lot of hopes on Thalapathy’s Vijay Varisu. She expected the film to bring her laurels and reinstate her position in the South. Unfortunately, the role in Varisu didn’t bring her any recognition. Except for her glam show in a couple of songs, she didn’t get any attention in the film. Moreover, the film also didn’t impress the moviegoers much. It managed to secure only moderate reviews.
It is another disappointment for the ‘National Crush’ who is desperately waiting for a big success. Her Bollywood film Mission Manju is going to skip theatrical release and come out in Netflix on January 20th. She has Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal due to release later this year. Also, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 is another film in her kitty. She is hoping for a strong comeback with these two films.
