Kamal Haasan’s next film likely to get shelved?

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan made a successful comeback to the victory zone with the film Vikram. Lokesh Kanagaraj directed the film. Post the release of the film, Kamal got many opportunities and he decided to revive Indian 2 which is already in progress. Kamal also signed a film with director Mani Ratnam. In between, there was a project in talks with Malayalam filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan. Now, the reports are coming in that the project is going to get shelved.

Mahesh Narayanan worked on successful Malayalam blockbusters Malik, C U Soon and a couple of other hits. Kamal is holding talks with the director from a long time. The project was supposed to happen by now but it underwent many delays because of the prior commitments of the duo.

Later, the duo decided to do a sequel to Thevar Magan, which is a cult classic in Kamal Haasan’s career. The shoot of the film was supposed to begin by now but the reports are coming in that the project is shelved.

In reality, the fact is that the project is not shelved but the makers decided to delay the project as Kamal has to finish Indian 2 first, before starting a new film.
