2023 is just a month away and the Telugu film industry is gearing up for the grand Sankranthi festive season. Three films are going to clash at the box office this time. They are Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy and Thalapathy Vijay’s Vaarasudu. It seems that the dubbed version of Ajith’s Thunivu may also hit the screens if it gets a decent number of screens.
We hear that the makers are closing all pre-business deals and also finalized the release dates of the films. Both Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy are being produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The banner is releasing both films in Nizam on its own. Apparently, business deals with other areas’ distributors are closed. It is heard that Veera Simha Reddy will hit the screens on January 12 and Waltair Veerayya will arrive on January 13.
On the other side, Vaarasudu is being bankrolled by Dil Raju. He is releasing the film on his own in Nizam and Uttharandhra regions. Apparently, the rights of other areas are also sold for fancy prices. Vaarasudu will hit the screens on January 12. On the other side, Thunivu will be released on January 11.
An official announcement regarding the release dates is expected to be made by the makers of the respective films very soon. With these biggies in the race, we can expect a huge business at the box office during Pongal festive season.
