Ravindra Shyamnarayan Shukla, popularly known as Ravi Kishan, is an Indian actor, politician and television personality who works in Hindi cinema and Bhojpuri cinema. He has also acted in a few Telugu films. Into his political moves, In 2019 he contested from Gorakhpur constituency from BJP and won the seat. A recent incident proved himself as a humanitarian. When asked on this regard, he added “Today on my way to the state Assembly, I saw some school children stranded on the road since their van broke down. I couldn’t stand to see such small kids getting drenched in the rain and therefore got out of my car and helped each one of them. I ensured they all reached home safely.” By this incident, he proved himself as a hero as well.

Ravi Kishan was named for Gorakhpur Loksabha constituency in 2019.He contested from BJP general elections against Samajwadi party candidate Rambhual Nishad in Gorakhpur constituency of Uttar Pradesh. Ravi Kishan, won against Rambhual Nishad by a lead of over 3,01,664 votes. Ravi kishan previous contested but failed in 2014 from Congress and moved to BJP. On 15 April 2019 Bhartiya Janata Party released a candidate list for the 2019 general election.

On the flip side, He is noted for his participation in Bigg Boss, the Indian version of Big Brother. He was also a contestant on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 in 2012. In 2017 he made his Kannada debut in Hebbuli alongside Kiccha Sudeep, and his Tamil debut in Sketch with Chiyaan Vikram.
