As part of Navaratnalu YS Jagan is planning prohibition in the state. Most of the unlicensed liquor shops has been closed. Government is going to run the shops and volunteers are being appointed.
Everyone took this as a joke. But, YS Jagan is implementing the Prohibition over liquor and proving his promises.
Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan is determined to implement a phased liquor ban in the state and necessary amendments were made to 1993 State Excise Act already.
They are as follows:-
1)An Individual can’t have more than 3 liquor bottles
2) Liquor Consumption in public places is prohibited
3) Ban on Permit Rooms at Liquor Outlets
4) Liquor Shops will remain closed after 9 pm
