‘Yashoda’ stands for a court trial regarding its digital premiere

‘Yashoda’ starring Samantha has opened to a good reception, appreciating the performance of Samantha and the production values of the film. With decent word of mouth and a lukewarm reception, the film managed to reach breakeven and made some profits during its runtime.

In a surprising chain of events, Hyderabad City Civil Court issued a notice to halt the digital premiere of the film. According to the reports, EVA IVF Hospitals has filed a complaint in the civil court against the film ‘Yashoda’, claiming that the film has projected EVA Hospital with a wrong image, thereby affecting their reputation. After investigating the filed petition, the court ruled in favour of the hospital and ordered the postponement of its digital release until further hearing. The next hearing is scheduled for December 19th, which coincides with the digital premiere of the film. An official response is awaited from the makers.

Directed by the duo Hari and Harish, the film was produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the Sridevi Movies banner. Mani Sharma scored the background of the film.
