Actor and politician Balakrishna’s loose tongue during the success meet of Veera Simha Reddy kicked up controversy among Nandamuri and Akkineni fans. Though it appeared like a gaffe as a result of his talking style, it resulted in a lot of negativity on Balakrishna for not maintaining decorum while taking up the names of legendary actors like SV Ranga Rao and Akkineni Nageswara Rao.

While Akkineni fans in the Telugu States demanded an open apology from Balakrishna, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil took a gentle dig at his comments with a brief post through their social media handles. Surprisingly, Nagarjuna didn’t react to this matter and maintained a stoic silence so far.

It is reliably heard that it was Nagarjuna who encouraged both Chaitu and Akhil to hit out at Balakrishna for his irresponsible comments. As Nagarjuna is the head of the Akkineni family, it would be pertinent if he had responded on this matter. But, he chose to remain silent and prodded both his sons to react. It is a known fact that Nag is not in good terms with Balakrishna for a long time. So, he has been waiting for an opportunity to take revenge. As this controversy provided ample opportunity, he seized on it and directed his sons to lash out at the comments.

Many are surprised by Nag’s outward silence on this matter. If he feels that the issue doesn’t deserve his reaction, what is the reason for both Chaitu and Akhil to give an official statement on the issue? If he is really hurt by Balakrishna’s comments, what’s stopping him from responding directly? These are the questions that are baffling everyone in the industry circles and the media.
