Tollywood in 2022: 5 films that actually re-defined the word ‘Disaster’

Along with record-breaking blockbusters like ‘RRR’ & ‘Sita Ramam’, the Telugu industry has also faced the embarrassment of making a dead-ass disaster, that too from the big stars of the industry. We managed to pick the top five among them although the number is around 13.
Although ‘Bangarraju’ & ‘Khiladi’ registered negative talk, it is ‘Rebel Star’ Prabhas’s ‘Radhe Shyam’ that actually is marked as the first big disaster of the year. Released after a huge hype, the film utterly disappointed the fans too and went very quiet immediately. Then comes ‘Megastar’ Chiranjeevi’s ‘Acharya’, which marks the collaboration of him Koratala & Ram Charan too. The film got a disaster talk post the special show itself and even after its OTT releases, the word ‘Paadhaghattam’ re-sounded like any other troll across the internet.
Even ‘Superstar’ Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ turned out to be a disappointing project although the team went on to celebrate at “Success Meet”. People were just in there for the sake of Mahesh who by then lost his elder brother & recovered from COVID. Even ‘King’ Nagarjuna couldn’t score a hit with ‘The Ghost’ which he was so confident that he previewed the movie before selling it overseas. Upon the release, the theatres went vacant from day 3.
And the trophy of the biggest disaster shall be for Puri – Deverakonda’s ‘Liger’, which actually became the first ‘Pan-India’ Disaster.
