Tollywood BO report : Ravi Teja gets ‘Dhamaka’ openings

Seasoned Telugu actor Ravi Teja’s latest offering Dhamka is off to a solid start at the domestic box office. Despite receiving mixed reports, the first-day collections of Dhamka in Andhra and Telangana are very impressive. After decent noon shows in all major centers, the Nakkina Trinadha Rao directional gained huge momentum with jam-packed evening and night shows in B and C centers. With the Christmas holiday in the offing, Dhamaka is likely to have a solid run in the first weekend.

As per reliable trade reports, Dhamaka grossed close to 9 Crores on its opening day. This is the biggest-ever opener for Ravi Teja in his career as the first-day share translates to somewhere near 5 Crores. In Naizam territory, Dhamaka got a terrific start with 1.85 Crores share without GST. In Cedeed and Andhra regions, the film took a good opening to hand over the career-best start for Ravi Teja. In overseas, the first-day numbers are not so promising because of the low buzz.

Despite sticking to a routine template, Ravi Teja and his team managed to keep the moviegoers invested with full-on entertainment. The masala elements coupled with Ravi Teja’s energetic performance might help the film emerge as a box office winner.
