Star league is still far away for Vijay Deverakonda and Sivakarthikeyan

After a gap of 2 years, Vijay Deverakonda hit the screens with much awaited “Liger”, directed by Puri Jagannadh. Vijay rose to fame with the cult classic “Arjun Reddy” and then gave a 100cr film with “Geetha Govindam.” It was expected that Vijay is the next big thing in Telugu Film Industry.
But things didn’t go well for him after “Dear Comrade” and his last two films, “World Famous Lover” and “Liger” ended up being disastrous, with Liger being especially bad. Liger was unanimously rejected by all types of audiences across India and led to huge losses, up to 90crs, for its distributors. This event has become a major setback in his career and many also criticised his “attitude”.
Meanwhile, a similar scene is noticed even in Kollywood.
Sivakarthikeyan, who gave two back-to-back 100crs films with “Doctor” and “Don” had to fare behind in the stardom race when his film “Prince” with Jathiratnalu director Anudeep ended up being a huge flop. But still, Sivakarthikeyan is in a much better position than Vijay.
Siva has three films lined up for the next year while Vijay has only signed and working on one film “Kushi” alongside Samantha. It is very essential for Vijay to give a hit now as he has already lost his fame quite significantly.
