Sankranthi Season gives a wake up call to Santosh Sobhan

Young and Talented hero Santosh Sobhan made his debut as an actor with Mohana Krishna Indraganti’s Golconda High School. The film did well and he gained recognition in the film circles. Santosh’s father is late Sobhan who directed Bobby, and Varsham. Santosh is struggling to gain success and create a market for himself in Telugu but his dream to get into the next league seems to be diminishing.

Santosh came up with a new film Kalyanam Kamaneeyam for this Sankranthi. Despite competition from Waltair Veerayya, Veera Simha Reddy, Tegimpu and Vaarasudu, UV Creations took a daring step to release the small film for this festival season. Unfortunately, the film went unnoticed.

Prabhas’ Spirit has a unique point, confirms producer

Keeping the visibility of the film amidst big competition aside, those who watched the film gave poor reviews for the movie. Many commented that it is a film that deserves to be watched on OTT. Although the film carried youthful elements, the movie could not impress the target audiences.

On one hand, UV risked Santosh’s career by getting into Sankranthi race and on the other hand, Santosh himself is risking his career with poor choice of movies.

Santosh was last seen in Like, Share & Subscribe which is also a flop. Ek Mini Katha that was released directly on OTT impressed the audiences to an extent but it failed to give him the much-needed success.

The actor’s next film is Prem Kumar on which he pinned all the hopes. Let us see if his wait for success comes to an end with the film.
