Rana bags another dud, Sai Pallavi walks away with credit

After impressing nationwide audience with his stupendous performance in Baahubali, Macho star Rana Daggubati didn’t deliver a notable film in the last five years. All his films that released after Baahubali 2 neither made an impact at the box office nor gave any mileage to him as an actor. His latest film Virata Parvam is another forgettable film that adds to the list of his debacles since 2017.

Rana is known for doing unconventional and experimental stories with strong characters. Even though his films before Baahubali didn’t emerge as commercial hits, Rana bagged plaudits for his performances. But, after Baahubali 2, he didn’t reach the expectations due to poor selection of roles and stories. His latest outing Virata Parvam failed on all counts handing him another huge dud in his career.

Though Virata Parvam garnered good buzz with its intriguing and hard-hitting trailer, the film took a disastrous start at the box office with less than one crore share in the Telugu States on the first day. The collections further deteriorated on the second day signalling that the film is heading toward becoming a huge disaster.

Rana hardly received any praises for his performance in Virata Parvam and it was Sai Pallavi who walked away with all credit for her flawless act. So, it is time for the ‘Leader’ actor to make a good choice of scripts and performance-oriented roles hereafter if he wants to stay in the reckoning for a longer period.
