Nithiin’s director fails, TDP supporters having a field day

Heroes can sustain despite their political affiliations. But, directors cannot. That has been proved strongly in the last couple of weeks.

Firstly, it was Sharath Mandava who directed Ravi Teja’s Rama Rao on Duty. He is a hard-core TDP supporter. So, YCP fans attacked him and spread a lot of negativity about his film right from the first day morning shows. The film tanked heavily at the box office. This might be the end of his career.

Now, one more director has bitten the dust. Nithiin’s film Macherla Niyojakavargam, which released today, invited a lot of wrath from TDP fans because of director MS Rajasekhar Reddy, who is an ardent YCP supporter. Reddy made abusive comments on TDP after the 2019 elections through his social media pages. So, TDP fans started spreading bad talk about the film even before its release.

As Macherla Niyojakavargam opened to flop talk all over, TDP supporters are having a field day digging the old posts of Rajasekhar Reddy. They started criticising him immediately after the film’s first shows were completed. They are once again digging his political Tweets from the past and started making comments about him.

Directors and other movie-related artists should make sure that they distance themselves from political parties if they want to sustain in the industry for a longer period.
