Nikhil tramples over Nithiin’s hopes

Nikhil Siddharth’s Karthikeya 2 faced a lot of hurdles before release. The film got postponed several times due to a lack of theatres. It was initially scheduled to hit the screens on August 12th but was deferred by one day just a week before its release to accommodate screens for Nithiin’s Macherla Niyojakavargam. Despite all these odds, Karthikeya 2 emerges as a super hit at the box office.

Nithiin’s Macherla Niyojakavargam took a good start despite mixed reviews and below-par word of mouth. The film collected a solid share on its first day and surprised the trade circles. But, Karthikeya 2 has crushed Nithiin’s hopes by dominating the box office without giving any chance to Macherla Niyojakavargam. Karthikeya 2 has increased its screen count due to unanimous reviews and there is no chance for Nithiin’s film from the second day itself.

By the end of the weekend, Macherla Niyojakavargam has fallen flat in all territories and Karthikeya 2 took over completely with strong footfalls. Nikhil has trampled over Nithiin’s hopes to score at least an average hit with Macherla Niyojakavargam.
