Liger headlines August releases, Bimbisara carries good hype

After a disappointing July, Tollywood trade circles have now pinned a lot of hopes on August which is a very crucial month as a couple of big-budget films are slated for release in the next four weeks.

Among all releases in August, Puri Jagannadh’s Liger starring Vijay Devarakonda is the most awaited film as it is carrying good buzz in trade circles. Liger is a pan-India sports drama which is going to release in different languages. The makers are promoting it quite aggressively in Mumbai and Hyderabad. It is made on a budget of 40 Crores. The film is hitting the screens on August 25th.

Kalyan Ram’s Bimbisara is the first film this month which is set for a grand release on August 5th. The expectations of this period film doubled after NTR’s speech during the pre-release event. This is a very crucial film for Kalyan Ram both as an actor and a producer as he invested a lot of time and money in it.

Top league producer Aswini Dutt’s Seetha Rammam starring Dulqueer Salmaan in the lead role is another film which is carrying decent expectations. The heartwarming teasers and trailers generated good hype in the audience. Hanu Raghavapudi is the director. The film is releasing this Friday.

Two young heroes are going to vie at the box office on August 12th. Nikhil Siddharth’s Karthikeya 2 and Nithiin’s Macherla Niyojakavargam are releasing with a good buzz after the impressive trailers caught the attention of moviegoers.

Apart from these films, there are a couple of dubbing films, which are carrying decent hype, and are going to test their luck in August. Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha is one among them. The film is releasing on August 11th.

When compared to the previous months, August looks more promising as all these films have piqued the attention of the audiences with well-cut trailers. Trade circles are optimistic about ending the dull phase with these films.
