Jahnavi doesn’t want to be treated like Alia

By now it is clear that Jahnavi Kapoor is all set to debut in South with NTR’s 30th film which will be helmed by Koratala Siva. An official announcement in this regard will be made very soon and she is expected to commence shooting for this untitled film in the Summer of this year. Jahnavi’s presence is likely to bring more hype to this film at the pan-India level.

Though this is a golden opportunity for Jahnavi Kapoor, she is very much wary of the potential liabilities that might affect her career in the future. It is a known fact that Alia Bhatt was disappointed with the amount of screen time she got in SS Rajamouli’s RRR. Critics and audiences felt that a talented actress like Alia shouldn’t have gotten such a raw deal in terms of characterization in the story. Later, Alia turned down the offer as the lead heroine in NTR30 due to script issues. She felt that the character penned by Koratala Siva is not substantial.

So, Jahnavi Kapoor is very particular about the character in NTR30. She doesn’t want to get fooled like Alia Bhatt. She has reportedly told the makers to give her assurance about her screen time and characterization in the film. She put several conditions before signing the dotted line. She wants NTR30 to be a perfect launch pad for her career in South.
