Friday Box Office: Dull openings, mediocre talk

This Friday, two low budget Telugu films released amid decent expectations because of good promotions and impressive pre-release content. But the openings are quite dull in Telugu States. Both films managed to garner mediocre reviews and word of mouth just like last Friday’s releases which were outrightly rejected by moviegoers.
Naga Shaurya’s Krishna Vrindha Vihari, a formulaic romantic entertainer on the lines of Nani’s Ante Sundaraniki, is said to be middling affair with some decent entertainment. Though there is nothing great to rave about in terms of story and characters, the entertaining elements seem to be the only saving grace for this film. The openings are also not so promising in any territory. The film needs to have a strong weekend to put its buyers in a safe zone.

Sree Vishnu’s cop drama Alluri also couldn’t excite the audiences as the first day openings are very poor. Despite Sree Vishnu’s powerful and honest performance, the lackluster script couldn’t elevate his potential. The film works only in some segments and the reviews are also not so encouraging for a good run in the weekend.
It is a very uphill task for both these films to turn their fortunes in the first weekend after getting such a mediocre response on the first day.
