Dasara Teaser: Nani’s intense role in a raw setting

The first look teaser of Nani’s much-awaited Summer film Dasara is out now and it presents the Natural Star in a complete mass avatar with never-before-seen raw mannerisms. His get-up, dialogue delivery and performance are quite different from what he essayed so far. The film is slated for release on March 30th.
Dasara teaser introduces us to the alienated village of Veerlapalli which is flanked by coal mines. At the very beginning of the teaser, Nani says drinking alcohol is not a habit but it is a custom in the village. The rest of the teaser is packed with intense scenes giving a brief sneak peek into different grey characters in the story. Nani wants to be the saviour for his villagers and doesn’t care a damn about his attitude. Surprisingly, the other characters are not introduced in the teaser.
Debutant Srikanth Odhela should be given a pat for presenting Nani in a complete mass avatar for the first time. He seems to have chosen a dark and rustic story and narrated it in an intense manner. The teaser manages to generate solid buzz because of its intriguing set-up and mass elements. The last shot in the teaser is simply blood-curdling and creates a huge impact.
The cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan is splendid and the music score given by Santosh Narayan is top-notch as they add more seriousness to the setting. Production values by SLV Cinemas are very impressive.
