Another underwhelming Friday for Tollywood

September is packed with a slew of medium and small budget films. The first Friday turned out to a huge disappointment for trade circles as Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga and First Day First Show couldn’t drive moviegoers to the theatres due to their routine content. The second Friday offered some respite as Bollywood biggie Brahmastra took a solid opening in Telugu States. Sharwanand’s Oke Okka Jeevitham also garnered good initial response. But, both these films couldn’t sustain in the weekdays.
This Friday three entertaining films released with decent expectations. But, the underwhelming content proved to be the sticking point for good openings as the mouth talk and reviews from morning shows are not promising. Sudheer Babu’s Aa Ammayi Gurunchi Meeku Cheppali disappointed big time. Kiran Abbavaram’s Nenu Meeku Baga Kavalsinavadini also turned out to be a dull affair because of its monotonous content. Female centric drama Saakini Daakini also couldn’t make any impact as audience didn’t get excited for its routine elements. Trade circles are predicting low numbers at the box office for these films.
