Akhil’s ‘Agent’ team in a lot of dilemma

Akkineni Akhil teamed up with hotshot filmmaker Surender Reddy for a spy thriller titled Agent. The shooting formalities are nearing completion. The film was initially supposed to hit the screens in August. But, it was postponed due to shooting delays.
Sources revealed that the team is in a lot of dilemma over locking the release date. They initially planned for release in August but backed out due to some pending post-production works. Later, they aimed for Dussehra release. However, they couldn’t arrive as Nagarjuna’s The Ghost is releasing at the same time. Now, they are looking for an ideal date to release the film.
They have only two big festival seasons in the next three months. One is Christmas and the other is Sankranti. Many big-budget films are releasing in January 2023. So, there is no chance for Agent to get theatres at that time. So, they should arrive for Christmas. But, some medium-budget films along with big-ticket film of Nandamuri Balakrishna are aiming for release during the Christmas season.
Agent team is struggling to find a solid date to release their film. They might finalize a date very soon and come up with an official announcement.
