Akhil wants a solo release without competition

Akkineni Akhil is very determined to deliver a blockbuster this time with his upcoming film Agent, a Surender Reddy directional. The recently released first look teaser has managed to grab the attention of moviegoers and Akhil’s beast look coupled with his scintillating swag has become a talking point everywhere.
The shooting formalities are nearing completion, but the makers have not yet officially announced the release date. Initially, there were reports that Agent will hit the screens for Dussehra. But, the plan seems to have changed now because they are looking for a solo release at the box office.
Chiranjeevi plans to cash in on three big festivals
Already a bunch of films have been announced for release during the Dussehra season. Megastar Chiranjeevi’s God Father is one biggie aiming for release during the festival. As no biggies are slated for release during the end of the year, the makers of Agent are planning for release in December so that it will have a solo release.
Agent is Akhil’s costliest film to date. It is doing phenomenal business in all territories. So, Akhil and Surender Reddy want to make sure the film gets massive openings without facing any stiff competition at the box office. They felt December is an ideal month for release.
