Kannada Rajyotsava celebrated grandly in the presence of prominent personalities

Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations took place in a grand manner in Karnataka yesterday. The special occasion has become memorable with the government of Karnataka posthumously honouring late Puneeth Rajkumar with the Karnataka Ratna award. Multiple prominent personalities from different walks of life have attended the event.
Superstar Rajinikanth, Young Tiger Jr NTR, Infosys Foundation Chairperson Sudha Murty, and Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai are the prominent personalities among the guests who attended the event.
Kannada Rajyotsava is also known as Karnataka Formation Day. The entire state celebrates the same on the 1st of November, every year. On this special day, the government honours the extraordinary contribution of different personalities in various fields with Karnataka Ratna award.
Puneeth Rajkumar’s wife received the honour as the government honoured him posthumously. S Nijalingappa (Politics), CNR Rao (Science), Bhimsen Joshi (Music), Shivakumara Swamiji (Social Service), and Dr J Javaregowda (Education & Literature) are the other rcepients of the award.
Superstar Rajinikanth and NTR attended event as special guests where they shared some fond memories with Puneeth. Despite heavy rain at the venue, the guests stayed back and spoke about the excellent contribution of Puneeth to cinema.
Rajinikanth called Puneeth a ‘God’s child’ and NTR also became emotional talking about the actor. Their speeches are currently going viral on social media.
