Varied Reviews & Ratings for Jim Cameron’s ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’

James Cameron’s ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ is all set for a worldwide premiere in a couple of days the film was opened to the audience through a special screening conducted by Jim himself and the initial reviewers were great too. But upon the premiers, which were open to everyone, it began to receive, one could say, contrasting reception.
Many of the reviews from renowned & longstanding entertainment websites have been on pillar ends. While few consider it to be a visual masterpiece some complain that the film is nothing but a water zoo. ‘The Telegraph’ rated the movie with one star calling it “waterboarded with turquoise cement”, while ‘Empire’ awarded the movie five stars and wrote it “thunderingly entertaining”. It’s the same with the other reputed websites too. Surprisingly, ‘The Financial Times’ complained about the run-time, but not the movie. “At over three hours, you will have time to quietly mull geopolitics, as well as holiday plans, meeting schedules and recipe ideas” joked in the review.
While ‘The Guardian’, ‘ The Times’, were not keen on the movie, calling it “monotonal” and “trillion-dollar screensaver”, ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ wrote the film “delivers on action, emotion and thrilling 3D visuals”. It looks like everyone has to find out themselves about the movie.
