USA BO : Pathaan creating a havoc with phenomenal run

Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film Pathaan is running riot at the worldwide box office. While the domestic numbers are mind-blowing, the overseas collections are nothing short of spectacular as the film is going on a rampage ever since its release on January 25th. It surpassed the 200 crore gross in just two days.
As we are writing this article, Pathaan ended its second day on a sensational note in North America with a terrific gross of $ 2.5 Million gross. The film embarked on a staggering start with close to $ 1.5 Million on its first day. Despite a weekday release, the Siddharth Anand directional has opened big with solid footfalls in USA and Canada. With unanimous reviews and glowing word of mouth, Pathaan created history with another $ 1 million on its second day to score a blockbuster opening for a Bollywood film after a long time. The advance sales for the next three days are also quite stupendous and there are good chances for the film to collect $ 1.5 Million on Friday alone.
As the weekend is just starting now, there are good chances for Pathaan to rewrite numerous existing box office records by the end of the first weekend. Trade pundits predict that Pathaan is likely to emerge as the highest-grossing film of all time in its full run. Currently, Aamir Khan’s Dangal is in first place with a $ 12 Million gross in North America. Shah Rukh’s Chennai Express is his career highest with a $ 5.1 Million gross. Pathaan is set to surpass Chennai Express by the end of this Saturday.
Despite a thin storyline, the film managed to garner blockbuster talk because of Shah Rukh’s mesmerizing screen presence, Deepika Padukone’s glamourous performance, grand-scale action episodes, and lavish production values.
