Pathaan is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Siddharth Anand. After WAR, he announced this film, which will mark the return of Shah Rukh Khan to the big screen in Bollywood, in a full length solo role. The film has now fallen into a controversy now. With the release of the new song Besharam Rang, the song has attracted a controversy.
Already, the audiences are not very much encouraging about the recent Bollywood films and a boycott trend is trending on the internet. The presentation of Besharam Rang song has now attracted trolls as many criticized Deepika Padukone for her revealing outfits in the song.
Deepika is seen donning different bikinis of various styles throughout the song and the netizens have found fault with the same. Deepika is presented in quite a sensual way and some haters claimed that it is senseless vulgarity. This added to the ongoing boycott trend.
One more reason for this boycott trend picking up pace is that Deepika dons a saffron coloured outfit in the song and some are claiming that Besharam Rang means Shameless Colour and the makers are criticizing saffron which is considered divine for Hindus. By this comment, some are projecting that the film is anti-Hindu movie.
Of all the reasons, one key reason why this film is being boycotted is that the Bollywood audiences are vexed with the routine and regular stories being catered to them. They are comparing the Hindi cinema with South and trying to make a statement that South Cinema is evolving and many new stories are being told to the audiences. They also expect the same and hence trying to prove everyone that the Bollywood makers must learn from South.
