Ayan Mukherjee reveals the release of Brahmastra 2

Brahmastra: Part One: Shiva is a creative-action-adventure film directed by Ayan Mukherji starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhat. The film is the 1st segment of a planned trilogy. The film was announced in July 2014 and planned to release during 2016. But the making of the film was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Now Brahmastra part one: Shiva was released on 9th September 2022.

After the ending of Brahmastra Part One: Shiva the title of its sequel part two has been announced as Brahmastra Part Two – Dev as the 2nd segment of the film. The announcement of Part Two created surmises in the minds of fans as to who would play on Dev.

Recently director Ayan Mukherjee has revealed that ‘our target to release, Part 2 of Brahmastra is December 2025’ but the dates have not been announced. He also said that “we have a target for the film. We want to make the film and are planning to release it in the next three years.” He also revealed that the script of the sequel of Brahmastra is going on from the first part.

Prabhas doing a dual role again

He further said that “It is not important to go on the film floor as to finalise the release date of the film. Going on the floor means shooting, but a film like this requires pre-production, VFX and post-production work. However, we will go on floors as soon as the core team of the film is ready.”

After the release of Brahmastra Part one:Shiva, the film received many compliments and praises for its visual effects and its making. The film has grossed Rs.233.49 crores worldwide in the box office as on 12th September 2022.
