RRR Movie Review: Racy – Resplendent – Ravishing

Story and Screenplay analysis:

Director Swaroop RSJ caught the attention of film industry with his debut movie Sai Srinivas Athreya. The way he subtly narrated an offbeat story impressed everyone in his first film. Even in Mishan Impossible he chose an offbeat story. A story of this kind needs lot of care and finesse in narration. Or else it falls flat. It is here director has faltered. His attempt to weave an interesting narration by mixing comedy with a serious issue like child trafficking does not gell well.

Child actors stand out:

Coming to artistes performances the three child actors Harsh Roshan, Bhanu Prakash and Jayatheertha Mogulu stand out. They have effortlessly played the innocent, confident and playful kids role and win hearts. Tapsee, who is a star in her own right in Bollywood right now, plays the lead in Telugu flick after a long gap. But she has a limited role when compared to the importance she got in trailers and promotions. Nevertheless she has done her best. Hareesh Peradi, Ravindra Vijay, Suhas, Harsha Vardhan, Satyam Rajesh and others appear as supporting cast.

Direction and allied crafts:

Mark K Robin has composed music and background score is fine. Cinematographer Deepak Yeragera also did a good job. Director Swaroop and Manoranjitham penned dialogues together which impress. Production values are decent, as though this is a small flick is bankrolled by big production house Matinee Entertainments.

Final take:

Director Swaroop RSJ needs appreciation for selecting an offbeat story and trying to narrate it in an interesting way. But as said earlier, these kind of attempts succeed only when everything falls in place. In Mishan Impossible things didn’t fall in place.
