Kamal Haasan clarifies on Indian 2

Universal actor Kamal Haasan is busy juggling different cities in South to promote his forthcoming film Vikram which is slated for release this Friday.

While interacting with Telugu media in Hyderabad, Kamal has opened up about his long delayed project Indian 2, a sequel to his super hit vigilante thriller Bharateeyudu which released in 1996. It is a know fact that Indian 2 went on floors before the Covid pandemic amid a lot of hype and hysteria.

Director Shankar had big plans for Indian 2 and roped in international technicians for the sequel. However, the project hit a roadblock due to some financial issues between Shankar and producer Lyca Subaskaran. There have been reports that Indian 2 is shelved and Shankar moved to Ram Charan’s film.

But, Kamal has surprised with his statement on Indian 2. He revealed that Indian 2 is still on cards and might resume production next year. Kamal said that Shankar will direct the much awaited sequel next year after wrapping up his current project.

So, it seems like Indian 2 will be revived after Ram Charan’s film.
