Against all odds, Kalyan Ram’s period drama Bimbisara struck gold at the box office and turned out to be a blockbuster just a week after its release. The film released at a crunch time when Tollywood is struggling with a string of flops in the last couple of months. Undoubtedly, Bimbisara success has given a new lease of life to Telugu cinema and also revived the hopes of buyers and distributors.

Before the release of Bimbisara, Kalyan Ram revealed that he is in plans to make this film as a franchise. Now, as audiences embraced the first part big time, the plans for making it as a franchise will get bigger for sure. It is reliably learnt that Kalyan Ram is aiming very big with the second part. He wants to pump in more budget and make it bigger than the first part. He wants to continue the core plot point and make it more appealing with solid production values.

Kalyan Ram is also in plans to make the franchise in different languages. As Bimbisara subject is universal and has the potential to cut across audiences beyond the Telugu States, he is likely to make it a multilingual.
