Telugu film F3, which is the second chapter in the fun franchise of director Anil Ravipudi, has taken a decent start in USA despite not having early premiers. Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaruvaari Paata is nearing its theatrical run and there will be some minor losses to the buyers.
F3 started well in USA with more than $ 500K gross from its first day( including premiers). This is a good start though it is well short of the first day collections of F2 ( $ 650K including premiers).
F3 generated comparatively low buzz than F2 due to many factors, yet the first day numbers in overseas are decent and the film is poised to hold well during the weekend as the reviews and word of mouth are promising if not great. F2 collected more than $ 2.1 million in USA in its full run and emerged as one of the biggest hits there. So, it remains to be seen how F3 fares as the ratings and reviews are similar to the first installment.
Sarkaruvaari Paata is struggling to surpass the break even with a dismal run in the third weekend. After an impressive first weekend, the film has had a so-so run in the second weekend. But, now the theatrical run is almost nearing completion after F3 release and the film is likely to fall short of the break even mark. The film collected $ 2.34 Million till now and need another 200K for entering the safe zone. However, that is highly impossible. So the film will end up as a loss venture for its buyers.
