USA pre-sales : Sankranti biggies gain huge momentum

Telugu films are poised to dominate overseas box office among all Sankranti releases. Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy is leading the pack with stupendous advance sales in all territories. Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya is also registering solid pre-sales. Tamil star Ajith’s Thunivu is ahead of Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu as of this writing.
In USA, the pre-sales of Veera Simha Reddy surpassed the $ 300K mark from 310 locations and set for a tremendous opening. The premiere shows are expected to see huge walk-ins as the action-packed trailer received a roaring response from moviegoers. In Australia and other overseas territories, Veera Simha Reddy is ahead of all other Sankranti films.
Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya notched up $ 230K so far in USA from 190 locations. The advance sales are likely to see a big jump as the theatrical trailer generated more hype for the film. An interesting tussle is in the offing as trade circles are eagerly waiting to see who will emerge as box office winner this Sankranti.
Ajith’s Thunivu is just ahead of Varisu in USA. Thunivu grossed $ 50K from its pre-sales and Varisu secured $ 42K so far.
