US BO report: On Monday – Majors holds well, Vikram continues to impress

After a solid first weekend at the US box office, South Indian films have managed to perform well on the first Monday. While Adivi Sesh’s Major collected on par with recent Telugu biggies, Vikram continued to register some more records among Kollywood films with its strong run.

On the first Monday, Major managed to grab another decent haul with $ 40K reported as of this writing. This is a decent hold for a medium budget film as it is on par with the Monday numbers of some of the recent big ticket films of Tollywood. Major now surpassed the $ 900K mark and is expected to rake in one million dollars by this weekend.

Major is already into profits in overseas and also emerged as the biggest hit in Adivi Sesh’s career surpassing his previous highest in just three days.

Vikram has the second biggest first Monday of all for a Tamil film after Rajinikanth’s 2.0 which managed to collect $ 132K. Vikram entered the profit zone by the end of weekend and will be a blockbuster in overseas.
