Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy took a phenomenal start at the box office. In both domestic and overseas territories, the Gopichand Malineni directional registered solid numbers on its opening day and handed over the career biggest start for Balakrishna. Surprisingly, it collected way bigger than his previous outing Akhanda.

As per trade reports, Veera Simha Reddy grossed close to 50 Crores on its first day. This is the biggest-ever opening in Balakrishna’s career. In Telugu States, the film collected close to 23 Crores share with a gross of 39 Crores approximately. Balayya stunned trade circles with strong numbers in Naizam and Cedeed areas. It collected above 5 crores each in these two regions. In Uttarandhra, the film took a good opening with 2.5 Crores share. In East and West Godavari, it collected a combined share of 3.8 Crores approximately.

In overseas, Veera Simha Reddy embarked on a sensational start with record premieres for Balakrishna. The film punched out more than $ 700K from Wednesday premieres. In other overseas regions like Australia, Canada and UK, Veera Simha Reddy took a strong start.

The total share collected by Veera Simha Reddy on the first day is around 30 Crores. This is the biggest-ever opening for Balakrishna beating his previous highest set by Akhanda. Veera Simha Reddy secured mixed reports from moviegoers. It needs to perform well during the festival days to emerge as a profitable venture.
