Shivaratri 2023 : Four films to slug out at box office

As Sankranti 2023 is jam-packed with big-ticket films like Waltair Veerayya, Varasudu and Veera Simha Reddy, some of the upcoming medium-budget notable films are aiming for release during the Shivaratri festival.

Akkineni Akhil’s long-delayed spy thriller Agent is likely to headline Shivratri releases. The Surender Reddy directional has been making strong waves ever since the striking posters and the intriguing teaser came out. The shooting formalities are almost done and the makers are planning to release it on February 17th.

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, who is fresh from the success of Bimbisara, is going to arrive a week earlier on February 10th with his upcoming film Amigos. Directed by Rajendra Reddy, the film is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers.

Tamil star Dhanush’s first bilingual Sir (Vaathi in Tamil) is also aiming for release on February 17th. The film was initially supposed to hit the screens on December 2nd. But the makers have pushed it to February to take advantage of Shivaratri weekend. Venky Atluri of Tholi Prema fame is the director.

Young hero Kiran Abbavaram’s Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha has also joined the race. The romantic entertainer is going to release on February 17th. Geetha Arts 2 is bankrolling this film which is helmed by Murali Kishore Abburu.
