Tollywood trade analysts who have written off Ravi Teja’s crowd-pulling capacity are now in a big shock seeing the bumper openings for his latest outing Dhamaka which released this Friday. It is true that the trailers and teasers of Dhamaka generated good buzz in audiences. But, no one expected that the film will embark on such an impressive start at the box office. Surprisingly, major centers reported packed screens despite mixed reports from premiere shows in the USA. With this, Ravi Teja once reinstated his clout in mass territories of the Telugu States.
As reported earlier by CineChitChat, Dhamaka secured a terrific opening with nearly 10 Crores gross on its opening day. Despite coming off two disappointing films like Khiladi and Ramarao on Duty, Ravi Teja believed that audiences will flock to theatres if he can entertain them in his vintage style. Director Trinadha Rao Nakkina and his reliable writer Prasanna Kumar Bezawada succeeded in showcasing the Mass Maharaja in his elements keeping the entertainment factor intact.
The non-stop entertainment and Ravi Teja’s energetic performance overcame the narrative liabilities and helped the film garner positive responses from moviegoers. As other Christmas releases secured below-par reports, Dhamaka has a strong chance to pull in solid numbers over the weekend. If it manages to hold decently on Weekdays, there is a big chance that Tollywood will end 2022 on a blockbuster note.
