Box Office Report: Kantara surpasses another big milestone

Kannada blockbuster Kantara is refusing to slow down at the territorial box office even after entering the sixth week of its release. With a superb hold in the last weekend at the domestic market, the mystical thriller directed by Rishab Shetty surpassed the 300 Crore mark to emerge as the biggest-grossing film in the sixth weekend by beating SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2.

Kantara notched up a record-breaking 25.50 Crores in the sixth weekend and broke the record set by Baahubali 2 with 22 Crores in the entire sixth week. Kantara now has two weekly records with the highest gross in the fifth and sixth weeks of release.
