Bollywood star-turned-producer Ansuhka Sharma has struck a golden deal with OTT platforms Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Anushka Sharma has started shooting for Chakda Xpress for Netflix.
Chakda Xpress is a biopic based on first generation woman cricketer Jhulan Goswami. Directed by Prosit Roy this movie’s shooting has just begun and the teaser released to make the official announcement has succeeded in bringing all the required attention to the movie. It is being produced by Anushka Sharma owned Clean Slate Filmz production company for Netflix. According to industry analysts, Anushka Sharma is going to come up with more work for Netflix, followed by Chakda Xpress.
Anushka’s production company Clean Slate Filmz is also producing Qala which marks debut of late actor Irfan Khan’s son Babil for Netflix. What’s interesting is, along with Netflix, Anushka Sharma’s production company is also planning new projects for Amazon Prime Video. Though an official confirmation is yet to be made, Paatal Lok’s Season 2 may be on the cards. According to Bollywood insiders, Anushka’s Clean Slate Filmz has lined up eight projects, including movies and web series, for Netflix and Amazon. Clean Slate Filmz is managed by Ansuka’s brother Karnesh Ssharma.
