Akhanda Movie Review

Balakrishna – Boyapati Srinu collaborated for the third time for ‘Akhanda’ movie. The movie has a huge buzz after posters and teasers were released. Balakrishna will be seen in dual role, starring Pragya Jaiswal, Jagapathi Babu and Srikanth. Let’s take a look at Akhanda Review.

Story: Akhanda is a story of a farmer and a humble person. Pragya Jaiswal is the district collector of Ananthpur, who will fall in with Murali Krishna (Balakrishna). He is a farmer from the Ananthapur district and also runs an educational institute. Varadarajulu (Srikanth) is an illegal Uranium mining baron and plans to kill Murali Krishna family for not allowing him to continue his mining. Just before the first half ends Akhanda’s introduction, who comes to save Murali Krishna family. Akhanda investigates the main person behind Varadharajulu and kills him. This is the story of Akhanda.

Akhanda has Thunderstorm collections in Overseas

Analysis: The movie is going to begin in Dandeli, Karnataka then lands in Andhra Pradesh.  Balakrishna as Murali Krishna is so handsome. It’s been many years since to see Balakrishna with a perfect wig. Even in an action episode, Balayya Babu looks stunning. His get-up as Akhanda has come out extremely well. Pragya Jaiswal has no option left other than to go deglamorized after getting married to MuraliKrishna. Her presence in the first half is good.  Adiga Adigaa song has rich visuals. The costumes and NBK and Pragya are graceful.  The first half action episodes between Srikanth (Varadharajulu) and Balakrishna (MuraliKrishna) are ok.

‘Jai Balayya’ song in the first half is a feast for NBK fans. Police station scene post-interval has come out extremely well. Hindutva speech in the second half is a goosebump movement for mature fans of Balayya babu. The second half is lengthy and boring with more action episodes.

Positives :

  • Thaman music
  • Balakrishna getups
  • Boyapati Hero elevation

Negatives :

  • Mass elevation
  • Length fights
  • Expected storyline
  • Missing logics
  •

Performance: The movie is a typical Boyapati film with missing logic and lengthy boring fights. Balayya in AKhanda role looks ferocious and will go well with the audience, He carried it in a good manner. Balayya Babu is nowhere different from Legend and Simha. Jagapathi Babu is ok.

When comes to backstabs of the film, Boyapati Srinu has completely forgotten logic. By concentrating on mass and hero elevation, he missed all other aspects. When you are not a fan of Balayya Babu or mass, better stay far from the movie. If you still feel like watching the film then you will be completely disappointed. Srikanth is not so perfect in his role and not comfortable in his shoes. some scenes of Srikanth are elevated very poorly.

Thaman’s background is noisy, yet extremely well. As Boyapati wanted the loud noise, we don’t complain about Thaman.

Verdict: Restricted for NBK fans
