Story: The Indian cricket team led by Kapil Dev enters into the 3rd World Cup of 1983. The India team goes through the journey of ups and downs, and with their hard work, they create a history.

Performance: Ranveer Singh who leads the team of India as the captain, delivers a performance that shows a side of him we have not seen in a while. He gets support from the rest of the casts who have delivered stellar performances. Pankaj Tripathi as team’s manager, Saqib Saleem, Hardy Sandhu, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Ammy Virk, Jatin Sarna are among those who add sheen to this film 83. Deepika Padukone in the role of Kapil Dev’ wife Romi, delivers a fantastic performance. Rest of the cast of 83 perform accordingly.

Technical: The movie 83 needs no introduction with respect to its plotline. It is a film that is about the victory of the Indian cricket team in the World Cup of 1983. Kabir Khan’s direction is splendid. 83 is a tough sport based movie to make and despite the presence of competent actors, the movie would have fallen flat if the execution of the film would’ve been inferior. Kabir Khan gives his best shot and balances everything- the tears, laughter and smiles. Pritam’s BGM adds the required oomph to the high-on-adrenaline visuals. The song Lehra Do, is the soul of the film. The cinematographer captures the mood of the film with precision. There is drama, there is fun, there is humour and so much more. 83 is a movie that will remain in our hearts forever.
